Funky Mambo has been a premier destination to learn Salsa in London for over 8 years.
There are actually many "flavours" of Salsa music. The 3 types of Salsa that you'll frequently encounter in London (and Europe in general) are:
Mambo style, also called "New York style" or "On2". This is our specialty.
LA style, also called "On1".
Cuban style.
We believe all styles of Salsa are fun, and many dancers enjoy exploring more than one. Mambo is often called the "dancer’s dance," appreciated for its strong musicality and the freedom it gives dancers to really play with the music.
In fact, many people at our events began their journey in other styles and later discovered a special connection with Mambo.
We have a reputation for producing high quality dancers who are confident, respectful, and fun. Whether you're an experienced Salsa dancer looking to try Mambo, or a total beginner who just wants to have fun and meet some new friends, you've come to the right place!
